SOCIAL WORKER | EDUCATOR | SOCIAL POLICY ANALYST
Nitesh examines how economic changes impact communities and the role of government policy in catalyzing broad economic prosperity. Nitesh's current projects focus on the the connection between place-based economic displacement and political polarization, as well as the impact of AI deployment on jobs, education, and wellbeing.
As a part-time faculty member at the University of Michigan School of Social Work, Nitesh has taught graduate-level courses on community organizing, policy analysis, and non-profit management. He has significant experience building and stewarding partnerships between academic programs and social service agencies, advancing both student learning and the agencies' missions.
Nitesh is a licensed clinical and macro social worker in the State of Michigan. He has been trained as a social work supervisor by NASW-Michigan, and he provides licensure supervision for Michigan LLMSWs working in policy and political roles.
